An experience to work on designing a micro-nation and working with great minds from varied disciplines and expertise.
Our team comprised of 16 members, each with a different skill set . Led by RAW-NYC Architects.
Intensive discussions and design process happened for a duration of 3 months via mails , dropbox and skype.
Being a computational designer in the team, my explorations were focused on integrating a system with flexible parameters, so when the program gets finalised during the course of discussions, these parameters can adapt to the changes.
Explorations :
Many similar explorations were submitted by designers from our team. Each exploration was discussed and criticized by the team. After a lot of discussions, the program was finalised by the team and the design was formulated with sensitivity towards economy, sustainable systems, and development with an envisioned future which are a few of the many realised parameters.
A lot of feedback and discussions were done with urban planners, economists and structural designers.
