Jayant is a computational designer based in Barcelona. He graduated from the faculty of design, CEPT University, India; where he developed a keen interest into understanding how computers/digital media can be used as a major design tool. Furthering his interests he did a research on the topic of Voronoi Geometry to understand how algorithms can be used as a design tool in contemporary scenarios. To further investigate in this domain he did his post-graduation from IAAC, Barcelona Spain.

 

Jayant has worked at design firms such as sP+a, Mumbai and andblack Design Studio, Ahmedabad where he explored generative processes and parametric approaches towards design. In 2013 he started Algo design lab which focuses on domains of interaction design and interior architecture, with a customized design process. He works as a computational design consultant and as a researcher. He is involved with institutes like IAAC , Barcelona and CEPT, Ahmedabad as an academic and a consultant.
